About Chapin Law Firm, LLC

An Exceptional Law Firm That Is Family-Owned And Family-Operated

Chapin Law Firm in Shawnee was established to provide exceptional legal services on a personal level. Our law firm was founded by attorneys Brett Chapin and Kristen Chapin, each bringing their own unique talents and experience to our team.

We take the time to get to know every client as well as their case. You can turn to our law firm to resolve a wide range of legal matters involving bankruptcy, tax, business, probate and estate law.

More than 20 years ago, attorney Brett Chapin began his professional career as a certified public accountant (CPA) with a major firm in Kansas City. He entered the legal community in 1999, focusing on complicated tax planning and structures. After gaining valuable training and experience at well-respected law firms, he decided to start his own practice so that he could spend more time working on a personal level with his clients.

His passion for helping others through challenging times is shared by Kristen Chapin. Prior to becoming a lawyer, she devoted her time to aiding victims of domestic violence with Kansas Legal Services. After further serving her community as a prosecutor for the Johnson County District Attorney's Office, she joined her husband at Chapin Law Firm.
